With the first spring´s sunshine we feel like going out and enjoying outdoor activities. Cold beer, some snack, table for two and that´s it. Any space out of home would do: any balcony, little terrace makes us happy. How can we make this space even more appealing?
In this patio we have painted the brick white to give some more light to the space; we put two rocking chairs with cushions and a little table for drinks. The real stars here are the plants: two lemon trees and bougainvillea. From the metal ciling we hanged three vases with little plants inside them. Who wouldn´t like to have some cold lemonade in this space in the hottest days of the year?
I would like to show you another balcony that invites us to have a drink and relax, one of our recent projects in Mirasierra of Madrid. It´s a balcony where we put Mah Jong sofa from Roche Bobois, tailor made with Missoni textiles for outdoor spaces. The mix of blue, white and green colors invites you to stay calm and peaceful. What makes the space even more cozy is KP carpet for outdoor which recalls esparto. The scene is completed by citrus trees behind the sofa: lemon trees, orange trees, tangerine trees and palm tree which tolerates low temperatures. By night we add some magic with “Follow Me” lamp, designed by Inma Bermúdez for Marset.
Designed sofas are not for everyone´s pocket. I can tell you how you can put something similar together in plan “low cost”. It is enough to buy pallet, paint it white and put some garden´s mattress on it. It will result amazing if you can add some bubble lights and some plants.
If what you really like is barbecue, you should put a dining table in your terrace to be able to enjoy the parties with your friends. This project in Salamanca district in Madrid has started with the plants. My client was dreaming about having some orange and palm trees. My client´s dreams are my priorities and we bought a beautiful orange tree that now it has a leading role on that terrace. We also bought other plants to give my high executive client some privacy that he needs. We fulfilled the dreams of both: woman and a man: sun bed and XXL barbecue. We added some color with bougainvillea in a green pot. And now my client can enjoy his cozy and fresh terrace thanks to Green Design furniture.
Another of my clients fell in love with his orange tree full of oranges. We gave his little balcony a life with this spectacular tree and two Ava Chairs from Roche Bobois and Green Design´s table. His terrace is prepared for hot, Mediterranean nights.
The owners of some garden and a swimming pool are well prepared for hot summer in Madrid. The turquoise color of water in the swimming pool that relaxes us so much matches perfectly with Acapulco chair and some cushions. The separation wall between the swimming pool and grass is made from see through crystal so you can see well the swimming pool and it gives a sensation of bigger and open space. This client asked for low maintenance for the garden, so we put artificial grass and automatic irrigation for the plants. The mail pleasure in this garden is to have a nap in a rocking chair, then have a shower in a sun battery shower and some swim in a refreshing water of the swimming pool.
